Wizz Air UK will operate its last flights between Istanbul Airport (IST) and London Luton (LTN) on November 1, 2026. EasyJet plans to start flying the same route on November 25.
Wizz Air’s Final Flights
Wizz Air UK’s Istanbul—Luton service ends in early November. The route is flown by Airbus A321neo aircraft with 239 seats, and the flight takes about four hours.
The picture for London Gatwick (LGW) is less clear. Some schedule databases still list Wizz Air flights there after November 1, so it’s not confirmed that the airline is leaving both London airports.
Alternative Flights Between Istanbul and London
EasyJet starts flying from Istanbul Airport to London Luton on November 25. The schedule shows departure at 3:05 p.m. and arrival at 4:20 p.m. local time, a flight of about four hours 15 minutes.
Turkish Airlines and British Airways also fly between Istanbul and London, to Heathrow and Gatwick depending on the flight. For cheaper fares, look at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), where Pegasus Airlines and AJet fly to London.
Wizz Air Cuts Winter Capacity
In September 2026, Wizz Air announced it would cut planned winter capacity by 5%. The airline has not said whether this is linked to the changes on its Istanbul routes.
