Delta Air Lines will expand its transatlantic network for summer 2027 with three new nonstop routes between the U.S. and Europe: Austin—Paris, Boston—Venice and Detroit—Athens.
Three new European routes
Austin—Paris will launch on March 27, 2027, as a daily seasonal service to Paris Charles de Gaulle. Flights will be operated by an Airbus A330-900neo with Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabins.
The new service will be Austin’s first nonstop connection to Paris and Delta’s first transatlantic route from Austin. Through Delta’s partnership with Air France-KLM, passengers will have access to almost 70 destinations across Europe, India and Africa via Paris.
Boston—Venice will begin on May 7, 2027, with four flights per week through October 29. Delta will operate the route with an Airbus A330-300 featuring Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabins.
Venice will become Delta’s 12th destination in continental Europe from Boston. The airline will also increase its Boston—Milan service to daily flights during the summer.
Detroit—Athens will launch on June 8, 2027, with three weekly flights through October 28. The route will be operated by an Airbus A330-200 with Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabins.
Athens will become Delta’s seventh destination in continental Europe from Detroit. The new route will give travelers in Southeast Michigan nonstop access to the Greek capital from Detroit for the first time.
Delta extends seasonal European service
Delta will also extend the operating season on several existing transatlantic routes in 2027.
- Minneapolis-St. Paul—Rome and Detroit—Rome will resume in early March.
- Seattle—Rome will return in April.
- New York-JFK—Catania, Porto, Prague and Copenhagen will return earlier in the year.
- Boston—Barcelona and Seattle—Barcelona will return to the network.
- Atlanta—Edinburgh will return to the summer schedule.
- Cincinnati—Paris will continue three times a week from January through March.
Delta will operate Detroit—Rome and New York-JFK—Copenhagen daily during the summer season.
More flights to Italy
The new Boston—Venice route will strengthen Delta’s network to Italy. During the peak summer period, the airline plans to operate up to 17 daily departures from the U.S. to Italy, with more than 30,000 nonstop seats per week.
