Avianca Guatemala, previously known as Aviateca, is a subsidiary of Avianca and is based in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Established in 1929 as Aviateca, it was a pioneer in Central American aviation. The airline became a part of Avianca Holdings in the early 2010s. Operating mainly from La Aurora International Airport, Avianca Guatemala aims to serve as a vital link between Guatemala and other Central American countries as well as key international destinations in the Americas.
