Talofa Airways

Talofa Airways is a Samoan airline founded by Toleafoa Jeffrey Hunter that commenced operations on August 29, 2016. With its headquarters in Apia, Samoa, the airline aims to provide convenient air travel within the Polynesian region. As of September 2016, the airline has a fleet of two Rockwell 690B Turbo Commander aircraft, each having a nine-seat configuration. Toleafoa Jeffrey Hunter not only conceptualized the airline but also flew one of its initial aircrafts from Florida to Samoa himself to cut costs. The airline had its inauguration ceremony attended by the Samoan Prime Minister and marks the third airline to be based in Samoa, following Polynesian Airlines and Samoa Air.

Talofa Airways serves three destinations in the Polynesian region, including its base at Faleolo International Airport in Apia, Samoa. Other destinations are Pago Pago International Airport in American Samoa and Fua’amotu International Airport in Tonga.

The airline operates a fleet of two Rockwell 690B Turbo Commander aircraft. These planes are particularly well-suited for short-haul flights and have a nine-seat configuration, making them ideal for the airline’s focus on regional connectivity.
