Pecotox Air, commenced operations in November 2001 as a charter airline based in Chişinău, Moldova. Initially offering passenger and freight charter services, the airline faced operational challenges and ceased operations in June 2007 due to safety oversight concerns and a ban from the European Commission’s Air Safety Commission. It briefly resumed operations in mid-2016 with two Airbus A300 cargo aircraft, but these were retired again by early 2017. As of July 2020, Pecotox Air had no operational aircraft. The airline previously operated a fleet including Airbus A300-600RF, Antonov An-24RV, Antonov An-26B, Antonov An-32B, and Yakovlev Yak-42 aircraft.
