Japan Air Commuter (JAC) is a regional airline based in Kirishima, Kagoshima, Japan. It operates feeder services in support of Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways. JAC is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance. It was established by the then 12 municipalities of Kagoshima Prefecture in 1983.
Operating out of its main hub at Kagoshima Airport, Japan Air Commuter provides connections to various smaller islands and cities throughout the Kagoshima Prefecture and broader Kyushu region, acting as a vital transportation link within the community.
The airline’s fleet primarily consists of the ATR 42 and ATR 72, turboprop aircraft that are well-suited to the short-haul nature of its routes.
