Humo Air, an airline based in Uzbekistan, was recently privatized when a private investment company from Switzerland purchased it. Originally founded in January 2020 as “Aviakompaniya Spetsialnykh Aviatsionnykh Rabot”, the airline initially had a fleet of 43 An-2 aircraft. The airline’s primary focus was short domestic routes and the development of tourism in Uzbekistan, considering its compact aircraft as a more affordable alternative to the liners of Uzbekistan Airways.
Destinations
Humo Air operates flights within various cities of Uzbekistan, including Bukhara, Fergana, Namangan, Samarkand, and Urgench.
Fleet
The airline initially operated with a fleet of 43 An-2 aircraft. As part of its new obligations under its recent acquisition, the company is set to expand its fleet with the addition of 18 new aircraft by 2026.
