Chalair Aviation

Established in 1986, Chalair Aviation is a distinguished French regional airline, headquartered at Caen – Carpiquet Airport in Carpiquet. With a commitment to exemplary service, the airline not only operates scheduled regional flights but also offers charter flights for varied occasions. Founded by Philippe Lebaron and later renamed to Chalair Aviation in 1997, this airline has expanded its wings, serving numerous destinations with a commendable fleet size.


Chalair Aviation proudly serves 16 destinations. Within France, they connect cities like Bordeaux, Brest, Lyon, and Paris. Seasonal routes include destinations like Ajaccio and Bastia. Expanding internationally, Chalair has also operated seasonal flights to Kerry in Ireland. Their hubs include Caen – Carpiquet Airport and focus cities like Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport.


As of May 2023, Chalair Aviation’s fleet boasts 4 aircrafts. This includes three ATR 42-500s, each with a seating capacity of 48 passengers, and one ATR 72-500, accommodating up to 70 passengers. Over the years, the airline has consistently updated its fleet to ensure the comfort and safety of its passengers.
