Caspian Airlines, headquartered in Tehran, Iran, was established in 1993. Operating primarily from its hubs at Mashhad Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport and Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, it services multiple domestic routes within Iran as well as international flights to Turkey and Iraq. The airline, owned by the Iran National Airlines Corporation, encountered a prohibition by the US Department of Treasury in 2016.

Caspian Airlines operates flights between Tehran and other major cities within Iran. Additionally, the airline extends its services internationally, catering to destinations in Turkey and Iraq. Significant hubs include Mashhad Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport and the two airports in Tehran: Imam Khomeini International Airport and Mehrabad International Airport.

Airplanes

Caspian Airlines’ fleet, as of April 2023, comprises Boeing 737-400, Boeing 737-500, and McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft. The airline has retired its Tupolev aircraft, now mainly operating the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series.
