Founded in 2005, Avion Express, based in Vilnius, Lithuania, stands out as a prominent ACMI and aircraft leasing operator. Originally starting as Nordic Solutions Air Services with just four Saab 340 aircraft, the company underwent a rebrand in 2008 to its current identity. Falling under the umbrella of Avia Solutions Group, a leading aerospace business group, Avion Express has seen immense growth, now operating a fleet of 50 aircraft. With a noteworthy revenue of €205.3 million in 2022, the company’s CEO, Darius Kajokas, oversees operations that encompass both charter flights and a global ACMI service.

Destinations

Avion Express has a dynamic footprint, offering flights to various destinations. Notably, the airline offers charter services from its hub in Vilnius for tour operators. Furthermore, as of 2023, Avion Express provides services to destinations such as Salzburg in Austria, Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada in Egypt, and is scheduled to begin operations in Aqaba, Jordan by November. They also have plans to commence services to Salzburg by February 2024.

Fleet

By August 2023, Avion Express showcased a strong fleet. The bulk of the fleet is made up of 48 Airbus A320-200 aircraft, each with a seating capacity of 180 passengers. Additionally, they operate two Airbus A321-200 aircraft, accommodating up to 220 passengers. Thus, the total fleet size stands at 50.
