Aviastar (Indonesia)

Aviastar Mandiri, known as Aviastar, is an expanding domestic passenger airline based in East Jakarta, Indonesia. Established on 12 June 2000, it initially started as a helicopter charter services company but transitioned to fixed-wing aircraft operations by 2003. Aviastar primarily operates DeHavilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otters and BAe 146-200 aircraft, serving numerous routes within Indonesia.


Aviastar operates both commercial and government subsidiary pioneer flights across 36 routes within Indonesia. Key destinations include Jakarta, Balikpapan, Ketapang, Makassar, Palangkaraya, and Samarinda. The airline also has plans to extend its services to North Bali International Airport.


Aviastar’s fleet comprises of 4 De Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otters. The airline has previously operated 3 British Aerospace 146-200 and an additional De Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter.
