Avanti Air

Avanti Air, formally styled as “avantiair,” is a boutique German airline with its base in Burbach and its primary maintenance hub situated at Siegerland Airport. Established in 1994 by former pilots Markus Baumann and Stefan Kissinger, the airline has carved a niche for itself by offering specialized ad hoc charter and aircraft wet-lease services. With a history that spans over two decades, Avanti Air transitioned from its origins as an aircraft management company to entering the charter market with two Raytheon Beech 1900C aircraft in 1996. Over the years, the fleet and services have evolved, adapting to the market’s demands and ensuring premium services for its clientele.

Destinations

Avanti Air primarily serves other airlines and tour operators by providing charter and wetlease operations on both long-term and short-term arrangements. They also cater to special requirements such as ad hoc charter services, particularly for VIPs, showcasing their versatility and dedication to customized service delivery.

Fleet

As of May 2022, Avanti Air boasts a fleet comprised solely of the De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft, with a seating capacity for 78 passengers. This shift to the Dash 8-400 represents the airline’s dynamic approach to fleet management, having transitioned over the years from the Raytheon Beech, ATR72, Fokker 100, and now to the Dash 8.
