Airlink, once known as South African Airlink, emanates from Johannesburg, South Africa, founded on 11th June 1992. Significantly renowned for bridging smaller towns and substantial hub airports, Airlink has proliferated its wings, currently enveloping over 60 routes and 45 destinations across Southern Africa. The airline, under the dedicated leadership of CEO Rodger Foster, has not only expanded its geographic reach but also strategically aligned and realigned with various aviation entities to enhance its operational and customer service prowess, becoming Africa’s second-largest carrier by flights in January 2021.

Destinations

Airlink boasts an extensive destination list, reaching over 49 destinations as of May 2023. These include locations across numerous countries like South Africa, Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, and more. The airline has made historical imprints by initiating commercial charter flights to remote areas like Saint Helena, providing crucial connectivity and sparking a once-a-week scheduled service between Johannesburg and Saint Helena.
