Africa World Airlines Limited (AWA) is a prominent Ghanaian airline, established in 2010 and commencing operations in 2012. Headquartered in Airport City Accra, AWA operates primarily from its main hub at Kotoka International Airport. As the largest airline in Ghana, it accounted for 55% of domestic passengers and 20% of all air passengers in the country in 2022. Consistently profitable since 2014, AWA is a joint venture involving several Ghanaian and Chinese shareholders.
