Aerus

Aerus, officially known as Aerotransportes Rafilher, is a Mexican regional carrier primarily based at Monterrey International Airport. Founded in 2022 and commencing operations in April 2023, the airline marks a significant evolution from its original establishment in 1990 as Aerotransportes Rafilher. Aerus, steered by Grupo Herrera, plays a pivotal role in the regional aviation sector, notably embracing technological advancements by ordering 30 all-electric Eviation Alice aircraft and focusing on underserved routes.

Destinations

Aerus actively serves numerous destinations including Monterrey, Tampico, Matamoros, Piedras Negras, Reynosa, Veracruz, and Villahermosa. The airline has also announced upcoming flights to Ciudad del Carmen and Tuxtla Gutiérrez starting October 2, 2023, and is contemplating extending its services to Nuevo Laredo. The airline strategically aims to fill the void on routes previously facilitated by Aeromar and to initiate services to destinations that lack current air service.

Fleet

The Aerus fleet and future procurement plans reflect a balanced approach towards operational efficiency and technological innovation. Currently, the fleet includes 3 Cessna Grand Caravan EX with an additional 3 on order. Aerus has also placed orders for 2 Cessna 408 SkyCourier and an impressive 30 Eviation Alice all-electric aircraft, projecting a futuristic vision for the airline, with deliveries of the latter expected post-2030.
