AerUpia

AerUpia, formally known as Aerotaxi del Upia S.A.S., is a Colombian charter airline based at Vanguardia Airport in Villavicencio, Meta. Founded in 1993 by Carlos Lozano, the airline commenced operations on May 12, 1994. Primarily, it operates in the Eastern Plains of Colombia but also extends its services across the rest of the country. Since September 10, 2010, AerUpia has been authorized to operate aircraft with a maximum gross operating weight of up to 5700 kg. The airline is also in the process of certifying its in-house Aeronautical Workshop (Class 1).

Destinations

AerUpia specializes in non-regular air services in the form of air taxis. The primary area of operation is the Eastern Plains of Colombia, although it also provides services to various other parts of the country. The airline does not have a set list of destinations, as it functions as a charter service, tailoring flights according to customer demand.

Fleet

As part of its plan to be a regional airline, AerUpia operates a modest fleet of aircraft with varying capacities, suitable for up to 9 passengers. The fleet includes the following commercial aircraft models: Britten-Norman Islander, Cessna 210N, Cessna TU 206, Piper PA-31 Navajo.
