Aero Contractors Company of Nigeria Limited, colloquially known as Aero Contractors or simply Aero, is a state-controlled Nigerian airline rooted in a rich history of service and commitment. Established in 1959, the airline is headquartered at the bustling Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. Over the years, Aero has expanded its operations beyond scheduled passenger services to include helicopter services and other specialized aircraft operations, mainly catering to Nigeria’s extensive oil and gas industry.


Aero operates in 13 destinations, covering a vast domestic network within Nigeria including major cities such as Abuja, Lagos, Kano, and Port Harcourt, among others. Their footprint is a testament to their commitment to connecting Nigeria’s various regions.


As of August 2019, Aero Contractors boasts a diverse fleet comprising a mix of Boeing and De Havilland aircraft. Specifically, their fleet includes Boeing 737-400, Boeing 737-500, as well as the De Havilland Dash 8-Q200, Dash 8-Q300, and Dash 8-Q400 models.
